While we are under the pressure caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a strong urge to worry and panic. However, we find in Scripture that there is an anchor for Christ-followers that helps us stand like rocks in turbulent times.
We are not able to meet "for church" this week, and yet we have discovered we are still "the church". So... what does "church" mean? And what does that tell us how we should treat those inside and outside our church? Turns out "church" means a lot more than we tend to think. We'd welcome to you take a listen to find out more.
Our culture is often trying to marginalize the church and stunt its voice. This should not be a surprise, the ways of God's kingdom have always been upside down to the world's way of doing things. But we have the opportunity to not pattern our minds like the world, but transform our ways to God's ways, and in so doing, show the world a better way!
The "church" is a lot of things, but one aspect is that it is made up of people trying to live by God's ways. To do this takes faith. Faith has become a confusing term in today's culture, but it is at the heart of following God.
