As the last of the listed fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5, self-control may seem self-explanatory. However, what are we to have self-control over and how can we grow in it?

When you think of a gentle person, what image comes to mind?  A grandma baking cookies?  A parent who has a tidy house?  A warhorse?  What about all of those?  When it comes to God's view of gentleness, there is much more than we notice at first glance.

None of the fruit of the Spirit are easy characteristics to adopt, including faithfulness. How does God's demonstration of faithfulness to us impact how we follow His Spirit to cultivate this fruit in our lives?
